Is This What You Call Human Evolution? Burning Babies for Heat Instead of Witches?

By Terry | Socialism

Apparently, man has continued to evolve. Instead of burning witches at the stake we now burn aborted babies instead. I suppose some heartless souls would describe that as progress since the “clinical waste” (which is the label aborted babies get tagged with) can now serve as heat production sources after their deaths providing benefit to the living.

Don’t count me in with that crowdBaby_In_Arms please. I’d rather be classified as primitive.

As it turns out, an investigation discovered that the bodies of hundreds of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as “clinical waste”. However, it gets better. In an apparent stroke of genius, some of this “clinical waste” was used to heat hospitals.

Ten UK National Health Service trusts have admitted burning fetal remains (That would be aborted, or murdered as some would describe it, babies.) alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.

FACTOID: A developing fetus has both a heartbeat and brain waves at 8 weeks. If a human being has a heartbeat and brain waves are they not considered alive?

Last night the Department of Health issued an instant ban on the practice which health minister Dr Dan Poulter branded ‘totally unacceptable.’

Bear in mind that NHS trusts changed in April 2013 and a new commissioning system of primary care health fully took over called NHS England

As a result of this move, the DHS hospitals were placed under one central authority NHS England. NHS England claims that “central to our ambition is to place the patients and the public at the heart of everything we do”. Apparently, dead babies are out of the patient mix and considered to be nothing more than rubbish or a source of cheap heat.

At least 15,500 fetal remains were incinerated by 27 NHS trusts over the last two years alone, UK’s TV Channel 4 Dispatches discovered.

The program found that parents who lose children in early pregnancy were often treated without compassion and were not consulted about what they wanted to happen to the remains.

 Mothers Told They Were Cremated

While the mothers were told that their babies had been cremated, Addenbrooke DHS in Cambridge incinerated 797 babies below 13 weeks gestation at their “waste to energy” plant.

Ipswich DHS, operated by a private contractor, beat them with a total of 1,101 incinerated remains between 2011 and 2013. They were brought in from another hospital before being burned to generate energy for the hospital site. Ipswich Hospital itself disposes of their own generated remains by cremation.

Powers That Be Are Upset Of Course

“This practice is totally unacceptable,” said Health Minister, Dr Poulter. “While the vast majority of hospitals are acting in the appropriate way, that must be the case for all hospitals and the Human Tissue Authority has now been asked to ensure that it acts on this issue without delay.”

Human Tissue Authority? Sounds a bit Orwellian to me.

Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS Medical Director, has written to all NHS trusts to tell them the practice must stop. The Chief Medical Officer, Dame Sally Davies, has also written to the Human Tissue Authority to ask them make sure that guidance is clear.

And the Care Quality Commission said it would investigate the programs findings. Where was the Care Quality Commission before TV 4 arrived I wonder? And the best they can offer is another investigation? Sounds like they have been moved to action by compassion huh?

Prof Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals, said: “I am disappointed trusts may not be informing or consulting women and their families. This breaches our standard on respecting and involving people who use services and I’m keen for Dispatches to share their evidence with us. We scrutinize information of concern and can inspect unannounced, if required.”

Sir Mike is disappointed in the lack of consultation to the woman but no mention is made of the aborted babies. Guess that part isn’t disappointing.

According to NHS Figures- Makes it OK?

A total of one in seven pregnancies ends in a miscarriage. NHS figures also show there are around 4,000 stillbirths each year in the UK, or 11 per day.

Ipswich Hospital Trust said it was concerned to discover that fetal remains from another hospital had been incinerated on its site. A spokeswoman said: “The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust does not incinerate fetal remains. She added that the trust “takes great care over fetal remains”

Of course, she forgot to add, “Most of the time anyway.”

A spokesman for the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said that trained health professionals discuss the options with parents ‘both verbally and in writing.’ “The parents are given exactly the same choice on the disposal of fetal remains as for a stillborn child and their personal wishes are respected,” they added.

A Natural Outgrowth of Two Movements?

Seems to me that this practice is a natural outgrowth of 2 primary movements in our societies.

The first is the callous disregard for the developing baby. The labeling of the unborn as a fetus creates an object in the mind of the perceiver. It is not a developing human being. It is a fetus.

However, as mentioned above, a so-called fetus has a brain wave and heartbeat by 7 or 8 weeks. What is considered a human life if not one which has a working brain and a heart beat I wonder? Human flotsam until delivered?

Fact is, there is more concern for the mother’s needs than for the needs of the child developing in her womb. The needs of the State have become more important than the needs of the individual and apparently the unborn as well.

Socialist Medical Care

In actual practice it seems, socialized medicine ultimately removes the human element particularly when it becomes more and more centralized and detached from the local community. Patients and their treatments become statistics and costs rather than living and breathing human beings it seems.

Lives become expendable when they cause costs to rise and costs necessarily do rise under socialism. With the brake of out of pocket costs removed, spending grows appreciably. Consumers don’t get to vote with their dollars and competition goes out the window. The only competition is for approval as a government provider. Once that happens, its how much can we charge and get away with before it is noticed.

Entitlement mentality consumers don’t think about costs. They aren’t paying it. Someone else will. Reminds me of the smokers who carelessly toss their butts on the ground. What do they care? Someone else will clean it up right?

Just as the number of butts on the ground grow, so costs under a socialist system continue to grow. That’s when the cost savings generated by the detached propeller heads come in. That’s when useless eaters are eliminated through euthanasia or aborted and miscarried babies get burnt for heat.

It is interesting to note that the practice apparently grew when the DHS system became even more centralized. Is this type of inhumanity a portent of what we can expect with a fully functional Obamacare in the U.S.? Unfortunately, I believe the answer to that question is affirmative.

Like I said, if this is called the evolutionary progress of man, I’d rather be considered primitive. How about you?
